WHOLE HOUSE FANS FOR YOUR ATTIC

YOU HAVE MANY CHOICES – THERE ARE FANS FROM MANY SOURCES THAT OFFER YOU AIR FLOW UP TO ABOUT 5000 CUBIC FEET PER MINUTE

AND INVISCO HAS CREATED HUGE FANS THAT ARE NOT AVAILABLE ANYWHERE ELSE.

HERE ARE THE SMALLER FANS – 1500 CFM TO 4750.

How do you know which one to choose? That depends on YOUR home and the rooms you want to cool and the speed you want to make them cool.

Example – I had a 2 story home with a 15 foot square master bedroom with an 8 foot high ceiling. That room had 15x15x8 cubic feet of air or 1800 cubic feet. Darlene and I decided that was the only room we needed to cool. So the 1500 CFM fan was perfect. It cooled our master in less than 2 minutes and then cooled other rooms when we opened their windows. You can use the same math to find out how much air flow YOU want.

HERE ARE THE PAGES FOR YOU TO BUY THE WHOLE HOUSE FAN SIZE YOU WANT – NOTE THE MODEL NUMBER IS THE CFM

WATCH OUT FOR OTHER SOURCES THAT HAVE MODEL NUMBERS THAT ARE MUCH HIGHER THAN THE ACTUAL AIR FLOW.

An example is the ES7000 – it is advertised as having an air flow of 6878 CFM but in the fine print the data shows that the HVI-916 air flow is just 5170. (HVI is Home Ventilation Institute and 916 is the test procedure required by the state of California to be used if the fan is sold in the state). The price for that is advertised at $1700.
